I am a British artist located in Buffalo NY, working across a variety of creative practices including illustration, fine art, graphic design and mural art/graffiti.
My artistic voice and style are rooted in bold, graphic linework combined with surreal, esoteric imagery. At its core, my work explores visual language that cultivates mystique, something unstable and alien yet strangely familiar.
I developed what I describe as “alien hieroglyphics” custom letterforms and typographic systems that feel familiar yet remain unreadable, as if they originate from off-world cultures. These forms suggest communication, but resist clear interpretation, creating a sense that the viewer is encountering fragments of a larger, inaccessible narrative.
These typographic elements often sit alongside a variety of organic, industrial and humanoid imagery forming compositions that resemble advertisements, diagrams, or cultural artefacts from imagined extraterrestrial societies.
This “alien advert” approach is central to my work: each piece operates as if it is trying to communicate something urgent or persuasive, yet the meaning remains just out of reach. The result is a tension between clarity and distortion, legibility and abstraction.
Visually, my work is defined by high-contrast, confident black linework that provides structure and readability, balanced against dense, ornamental detail. I am interested in the interplay between control and excess, clean graphic outlines containing intricate, almost chaotic internal systems allowing the work to function at large scale while rewarding close inspection.
My influences draw from 1960s psychedelic poster design and the ornamental qualities of Art Nouveau, particularly its use of curvature, rhythm, and decorative framing. These influences are reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, merging with sci-fi, fantasy, and lowbrow aesthetics to create a re-imagined visual language where elegant organic linework coexists with industrial forms, surreal mutations, and deliberately abrasive visual noise. Overall, my practice is concerned with building immersive visual systems that feel both constructed and alive, images that function as artefacts from speculative worlds, where typography, surreal energy, and form merge into cohesive symbolic organisms.
